Spine Segmentation
The spine is made up of 24 individual vertebrae. They each move very little, but together they can produce a lot of movement. When you lose the ability to move and control even one segment of your spine, the movement capacity of your entire spine is compromised.
On the day-to-day, you don’t think’ about moving your spine segmentally. However, when vertebrae become restricted and lose segmental motion, global spine motion has to come from less vertebrae and these segments become more prone to overloading injuries.
In this video, Dr. Mitch explain why segmental spine training is so important.
