Move Better Health and Performance - Northbrook, ON.
Our local bank recently shut down. The closest bank is now over 60kms away. This was a big blow to our aging demographic. The community wanted something positive to fill the space. We really hope to provide that. We're upgrading Mitch's clinic and adding a gym space. We'll be offering chiropractic services, personal training and small group training as well!
Goals for 2024: Get our community moving better!
Move Better Basecamp Retreats
We have the priviledge of living on 96.5 pristine acres of the rugged Canadian Shield. Some beautifully groomed trails surround a ~10 acre pond. An abundance of native plants, and endless trees makes a perfect habitat for wildlife and an ideal place to recharge and unwind.
We currently have three 4-season bell tents on platforms with private fire pits and hammocks.

Goals for 2024: We are working on guided nature therapy walks and starting our barn build.
The Better Homestead
This is our home base! We make our own bread and grow and raise a lot of our own food.
We have laying hens which provide enough eggs for us and our neighbours. We raise and process our own meat chickens.
We have large gardens (raised bed, no dig) which are incredibly productive due to our compost and the plentiful pollinators.
We make maple syrup every spring and forage our woodlands for edible treasures.
We have aspirations of one day starting a flower farm, and selling affordable produce boxes. For now we'll keep collecting wildflowers and becoming better gardeners.
Goals for 2024: We are building a greenhouse, building a produce stand, and starting a choice mushroom farm!

A rugged and challenging course. An excuse for our friends to leave the city and for locals to be active in their backyard!
