CAULI ‘ HOT WINGS’

Cauliflower 'Hot Wings'

Prep time: 5 mins
Grill time: 20 mins

Why should you try these instead of regular hot wings?

1- Because they taste BOMB!

2-Eating less meat and more healthy plant-based foods can help reduce the incidence of chronic preventable diseases,

3- It’s good for the planet. Eating less meat, helps preserve precious land and water resources, and combat climate change.

4- In case those first 3 reasons aren’t good enough, how about because you 100% will not bite into any weird cartilage stuff.

No meat on Mondays, it’s a thing. –

Meatless Monday is a global movement that encourages people to reduce meat in their diet for their health and the health of the planet. The campaign was started in 2003 by Sid Lerner, the Founder of The Monday Campaigns, in association with the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future.

What do you need?

A big bowl.
Baking sheet.
Parchment paper (you don’t NEED this, but it helps)

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of cauliflower.
  • Oil (We use olive oil but coconut, avocado, any oil of your liking will do)
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Hot sauce (We like the PC spicy buffalo, but you can dress them however you like)

Step 1. Heat oven @ 425F

Step 2. Cut off any leaves and break apart the cauliflower into wing sized pieces

Step 3. Drizzle oil in a zig zag pattern.  Don’t worry about getting all of the cauliflower. I don’t know how it works in the oven but it does, a French chef taught me this in her home during a cooking class in Paris. (fancy, I know)

Step 4: Add cracked pepper & salt.  You’re an adult, choose how much you want.  Athletes, you can go wild with the salt 😉

Step 5. Bake in oven for ~20 mins until cauliflower begins to brown

Step 6. Toss in your favorite sauce.

Step 7. Put the cauliflower back in the oven for a few more minutes until it starts to sizzle and get a little sticky…

Step 8. Remove from oven, plate and enjoy!
